members attend European SCP Meeting
Nov 2004: Members
of the ANPED SPAC Working Group attended the European Stakeholder
Meeting on Sustainable Consumption and Production and participated
in the working groups.
Civil Society Statement
for Ostend
Nov.
2004: ANPED, Eco-Forum and the European Environmental Bureau
(EEB) prepared a joint civil society statement at the European Stakeholder
Meeting on Sustainable Consumption and Production in Ostend. The
statement calls for a regional strategy on sustainable consumption
that
identifies the gaps in existing policies, and elaborates policies
for all sectors, while taking into account the external dimensions
of these policies.

WG members attend SCP meeting in Amsterdam
Nov.
2004: WG members met in Amsterdam between Nov. 10
- 12th to discuss the creation of a toolkit for the project "Global
Society and the Economic System - Strengthening civil society and
the accountability of international systems". This project
will be run jointly with Consumers International.
Sylvia Lorek elected
new WG chair
Oct.
2004: Sylvia Lorek (Sustainable Europe Research
Institute) was elected the chair of the ANPED SPAC Working Group
replacing Jeffrey Barber (Integrative Strategies Forum) who chaired
the Working Group until 2004.
WG meets and delibrates
at Zagreb
Oct. 2004: Members
of the SPAC WG met and deliberated during the occasion of ANPED's
Annual general Meeting (AGM) that took place in Zagreb, Croatia
on 23 and 24 October 2004. The details
