Swedish memo on SCP at Environment for Europe (16 June 2006). Proposes for EfE meeting the development of "a special and more detailed report on Sustainable Production and Consumption...in order to provide good examples and help countries in creating their national policies in this field." The focus is especially aimed at SEE and EECCA countries.

UNEP Input to Belgrade Meeting (February 2006). After detailing UNEP activities, the paper proposes a joint UNEP/Swedish effort to "map out the status and trends of particular SCP sectors, such as waste, mobility, pollution, water, etc. and to carry out a compilation of government policies/frameworks which are already in place or in the pipeline."

Report on the Environment for Europe Conference (1998), which includes:

"21. We recognize that changes in consumption and production patterns must
lie at the heart of the transition towards a sustainable UN/ECE region; with
concern we note that developments in the countries with economies in
transition may have the effect of duplicating unsustainable consumption
patterns in other parts of the region." (from the Ministerial Declaration)
